Xyphen IT B.V. (AS211588) delivers carrier-grade transport services between Dutch data centers: Ethernet transport, EVPN/VXLAN and wavelengths. Delivered over a network that we build, light and operate ourselves.
Xyphen IT B.V. operates its own optical and packet transport network between Dutch data centers. We light leased dark fiber with our own DWDM equipment and route traffic over routers and switches that we operate ourselves. The services on this page are delivered over this infrastructure — not resold or leased from another carrier.

Our own infrastructure
What we build and operate ourselves
Dark fiber
Between our core PoPs we lease dark fiber pairs and light them ourselves. No managed wave from a third party — we put the optics on the fiber.
Own optical transport
Our DWDM and optical transport equipment is fully under our control: muxponders, transponders and amplifiers are configured, monitored and maintained by us.
Own packet network
We route and switch on Arista, Juniper MX and Huawei platforms. EVPN/VXLAN and BGP run on equipment that our own engineers operate end to end.
End-to-end under our own NOC
Configuration, monitoring, change management and troubleshooting are handled in-house. One point of contact, no intermediate carrier.

Our carrier services are available in the following Dutch data centers
At our Amsterdam core PoPs — including Databarn as an extension of NorthC — we deliver the full set of services. In IJsselstein (outside PoP) we offer IP transit and Ethernet transport; due to an OTN constraint at that site we don't deliver EVPN/VXLAN or wavelengths there. In Greenhouse Datacenters GHDC3 we don't have our own fiber inside the building, but we do have cross-connects to two of our core PoPs — so IP transit and EVPN/VXLAN are available there.

Specifications
What you can expect
Capacity up to 80 Gbit/s
Active services up to 80 Gbit/s. Higher capacities are negotiable; we don't push to a 100 Gbit/s line — with overhead you won't actually reach 100 Gbit/s on a single link.
Handoff interfaces
Handoff at 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, 40GE or 100GE. Single mode fiber, copper where appropriate.
Wavelengths 10G and 100G
A dedicated link between two data centers, 10 or 100 Gbit/s as standard. Other speeds on request.
EVPN/VXLAN across your sites
Link two, three or more data centers as if they sit in the same LAN. Useful for spreading traffic across locations or building a failover site.
Fast turn-up
Lead time is often one business day, depending on the data center cross-connect. No multi-week waits: once the cross-connect is in place, services usually go live the same day.
Redundant paths
Our backbone is built with redundant routes between Dutch data centers. Services can be delivered dual-homed on request.
Frequently asked questions
Is this your own network or resold?
Our own network. We lease dark fiber, but light it ourselves with our own DWDM equipment. Our routers and switches (Arista, Juniper MX, Huawei) are operated by our own NOC. We don't resell managed waves or transport from another carrier.
Why aren't all services available in Greenhouse?
We don't (yet) have our own fiber inside Greenhouse Datacenters GHDC3. We do have cross-connects from GHDC3 to two of our core PoPs, so IP transit and EVPN/VXLAN are available there. We don't sell Ethernet transport or wavelengths in GHDC3 because that requires our own optical infrastructure inside the building.
Why no EVPN or wavelengths in IJsselstein?
IJsselstein LPK (Cellnex) is an outside PoP. Our reach into IJsselstein runs over a transport path where we don't operate our own OTN layer, so we can't deliver lambdas (wavelengths) or our EVPN/VXLAN fabric there. We do offer IP transit and Ethernet transport at IJsselstein — those ride on the existing connectivity.
Which speeds do you deliver?
Active services up to 80 Gbit/s. Handoff at 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, 40GE or 100GE. Wavelengths at 10G or 100G.
How fast can you deliver?
Often within one business day, depending on the data center cross-connect. As soon as the physical cross-connect is in place, we can usually activate the service the same day.
What's your ASN?
AS211588. We're also present on NL-IX, SPEED-IX, Frys-IX and ERA-IX, with IP transit from Fusix Networks and Eranium.
